The Concept
“Traditionally known as a “bridge” between light lunches and late dinners, and for being an elaborate affair where you can get together to eat some snacks and have a little chat.”
For the Johnson family, having a space where to get together and have a little break from their busy schedule would be ideal. With this in mind, the concept of Tea Time was taken as an inspiration, creating a delicate but functional room that serves as a “meeting point” for the family
The Layout
This kitchen has three different entrances; from the dining room, from the foyer, and from the mudroom. Either one you use will guide you to a beautiful island in the middle of the room surrounded by a banquette and command center to the right, a built-in refrigerator, and storage to the left, a cook and prep area at the front, and more storage and a pantry at the back. This layout offers great circulation that gives you the flexibility of having a dedicated spot to cook, to work, to just hang out, or to easily grab a snack
FF&E Selection
Soft and warm colors taken out from the concept, as well as the use of the finest furniture, appliances and fixtures, were utilized to create the clients' dream transitional kitchen

The Result
A beautiful, welcoming, and timeless kitchen that will facilitate the clients' lives and exceeds their expectations
